Punica granatum ‘Dersertnyi Pomegranate’
Another unique selection of the great Pomegranate hybridist Gregory Levin. Fruit is Medium to large,light pinkish yellow skin, that can crack early. The arils are large pink and full of sweet-sour juice with an intense flavor. The seeds are soft and almost unnoticable. Does not require high heat to reach peek quality making it a great selection for the coast or in more marginal areas like zones 7 and 8. A highly recommended backyard selection.
Ripens in Fall
Similar to Wonderful, extra large, red flesh and sharp flavor. It harvests a few weeks before Wonderful, in the Fall.

Another of the special selections from the Collection of Gregory Levin held at the Germplasm repository at UC Davis’s Wolfskill Farm. A large pale pink fruit with a wonderful balance of acid to sugar, This smooth sweet flavor with just the right amount of tartness makes the Gissarki Rozovyi one of the favorites for back yard growers. Pink over light green to yellow skin with large pink arils that are packed full of juice with a soft edible seed. A real late summer treat for those who blend their own juices. Toms Red makes a perfect companion to a number of other popular blending Pomegranates varieties. Long hang time of over a month while the quality just keeps improving. This might be one of the latest varieties you will harvest. Is prone to cracking

Punica granatum ‘Pink Satin’
Pink Satin produces medium to large-sized fruit with a refreshing, sweet, fruit-punch flavor. The light-colored juice is non-staining. Soft seeds are edible and makes the Pink Satin seem almost seedless. Introduced from the University of California Wolfskill Experimental Orchards as Pink Ice and then reintroduced as Pink Satin in the late 1990s. A wonderful tasting Pomegranate that has continued to become popular with the home gardener through the years
